Singapore is a great city to visit and if you’re on that side of the globe I would recommend stopping over and exploring the vibrant and rich cultures that coexist to make Singapore a unique place.
One of the highlights of my stay in Singapore was visiting the Botanic Garden. It’s beautiful and relaxing with sprawling green lawns. On a cool day, it would be a great place to hang with family and friends and have a picnic.
The day we went was not a cool day. In fact we were sweating bullets. It was hot and humid but thankfully the beauty of the surroundings did a lot to mollify the level of misery one would normally experience in conditions such as this.
We paid the extra money, all of five Singaporean dollars to visit the Orchid Garden. It was a stunning display of hundreds if not thousands of varieties of orchids. I had no idea so many varieties existed and to see them first hand was an experience worth having.
If you’re looking for a low key day to just get away from the rush of the city, then the Botanic Garden is a great place to do that. You’ll feel like you’re in a different world.
