I’m currently at home, laid up in bed due to this awful flu bug that is kicking my butt. I hate being sick because as much as I do love staying home it gets quite boring when you’re sick and can’t do anything but lay in bed.
I decided to make the best of it and do a post to share with you all of the best items currently on sale at my favorite store on earth.
Anyone who knows me knows that I spend far too much money at J.Crew. I absolutely love their clothes and the quality is superb. However, as much as I love them, I don’t love their prices. I rarely ever buy anything full price. Thankfully they have the best sales. Right now they’re having an extra fifty off all sale. Guys this is the most amazing sale.
Since it has been running for a few weeks now, some sizes are sold out but if you manage to get your hands on even a few of these key pieces I’m sure they will be great additions to your closet.
I’ll share with you a few of my favorite pieces I picked up. I have to be honest as say I got a lot of things and this post would be too long to share. So check out the things I’m most in love with below and make sure to go over and check out other sale items. I guarantee you will not regret it.
This bag! I’ve been seeing this bag all over Instagram and I was smitten. I have a slight obsession with faux fur and when this bag went on sale I absolutely had to have it. It’s so soft and it really jazzes up a simple outfit. You can wear it casually with jeans and a tee or a little more dressy. I wore mine to church but plan on taking her out whenever I want to be extra. With the discount I paid a little over thirty bucks which isn’t too bad considering they were trying to sell it for one hundred and thirty eight dollars. The quality is great and it doesn’t shed so I can see it lasting a really long time. Just store it in a dust bag.
This velvet top is a welcomed addition to my closet. I don’t own anything like it and I think it will look really great paired with a blazer and jeans or on it’s own with jeans. The fact that it’s velvet makes it so lux. It was under fifteen bucks originally sixty eight.
So the moment I took this top out the box I fell in love. The quality of the material, the color and the details are superb. Once I tried it on, I was done. The bell sleeves are everything. It is so flattering and pretty. I also picked it up in the black. I recommend sizing up on this as it is a tad bit snug. I paid twenty six dollars and the original price was ninety eight. I actually got it during a flash sale when they were giving sixty percent off.
These red lace pants are out of my comfort zone. I never in a million years would have imagined myself purchasing these much less wearing them. It was definitely a risk purchasing them but since they were not final sale I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try them. I’m really happy that I did. They fit amazingly and are super flattering. They make me feel skinny which is the most important thing of course. I paid twenty six dollars and the original price is one hundred and ten.
Now I’m a bit late to the turtleneck party. Is there such a thing? In my head I imagine there is because who wouldn’t want to wear turtleneck tops? They’re so chic and effortless. Can you imagine that it was only a month ago that I purchased my first turtleneck sweater? I know! Absurd right? I picked one up from Asos and I love it so much. When I saw this stripe one on sale, I had to get them. I got this color and a pink and red stripe one as well. They’re oversized and long and made of a thick sweater material. It’s a great transitional staple piece as I can see myself wearing it into the spring and fall. It can be paired with some faux leather leggings I have or half tucked with jeans and a long gold necklace. It’s a versatile piece. They were less than twelve dollars a piece coming from forty nine dollars.
I thought about this dress many times before actually buying it. It is listed as a beach dress so I wasn’t sure if it was practical to get it. I did end up getting it because I’ll be going on vacation in May and hopefully be going to the beach. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It is a made of a somewhat thick cotton and linen blend. I actually decided that it can be worn as a regular dress in the summer with sandals or some white converse. It was originally seventy nine dollars and I paid around sixteen dollars.
This faux wrap bodysuit is a new style in my closet. They bodysuit trend has been around for a minute and I’ve always liked the look of them but wasn’t confident enough to wear one. When I saw the price tag on this one, I thought what the heck, I might as well try it. I think I may have paid eight dollars for it. I like the way it fits and it has snaps on the bottom which is very important. The wrap detail is flattering and the v-cut adds a subtle sexiness.
Button down shirt are not my jam. I find that for me they tend to be very unflattering particularly since many women’s styles come in a more fitted or slim fit. I love the plaid on this shirt and after reading the comments I decided to get it but to size up. I think that’s the trick I’ve been missing. It has a Peter Pan style collar that J Crew refers to as a club collar. It is smaller than typical collars which I think is really cute. I paid about sixteen dollars for this and the original cost was seventy eight.
I love this top. The fit is great and the tulle details makes it so feminine and dainty. I purchased it in a large because I wanted it to fit loosely like it does on the model. I paid fifteen bucks after the fifty off discount.
So there you have it my lovelies. Just a few of the pieces I’m excited to have in my closet. Check out the sale and see if you can snag some of these pieces.
